Travis Kelce Names His Favorite ‘Showgirl’ Track and Confirms Taylor Swift Hid Easter Eggs in ‘New Heights’

As Taylor Swift’s partner—and now her fiancé—Travis Kelce has enjoyed an exclusive preview of her forthcoming album, The Life of a Showgirl, well ahead of its October 3 release.

On the newest installment of the New Heights podcast—hosted by Travis and his brother Jason Kelce and aired Wednesday, August 27—the Kansas City Chiefs star revealed he’s been “grooving around the house” as he spins the album on repeat. “I’ll just keep nudging the Swifties,” he joked, “because I can’t stop listening.”

He added that although Taylor emphasized the album would lean into more pop-driven rhythms, the songs retain her signature poetic lyricism and clever allusions. “It’s an absolute blast,” he said. “I’ve been dancing nonstop.”

When asked by the former Philadelphia Eagles center which track stands out, Travis picked “Opalite,” the third song on the album. “Whenever it starts, I can’t help but bust a little move,” he quipped, giving a playful shoulder shimmy.

This episode follows two weeks after Swift’s inaugural appearance on New Heights—just one day after the album announcement—and arrives a day after the couple shared news of their engagement. Filmed prior to their proposal reveal, the brothers didn’t get to discuss the happy milestone on air.

Reflecting on Swift’s guest spot, Travis confirmed she seized the opportunity to slip in hidden clues—igniting fan theories that she may be hinting at future projects, perhaps even a halftime show performance at Super Bowl LX in 2026.

Although the Happy Gilmore 2 actor playfully held back on specifics—much to Jason’s mock exasperation—Travis said, “I could tell Tay left here beaming. She was thrilled for her first podcast appearance with us.”

“She left floating on air,” Travis continued. “She was overjoyed to share the album details, sneak in those Easter eggs, and watch fans speculate.”
