Travis Kelce Jokes About the Biggest Change in His Life Since Becoming Engaged to Taylor Swift: ‘I Got One More Ring for It’

It’s no secret that Travis Kelce loves to joke around, so when reporters in São Paulo on September 4 asked about the most significant shift in his life since becoming engaged to Taylor Swift, his response was pure Kelce.

“I’ve got one more ring to show for it—two if you’re counting our first Super Bowl,” Kelce quipped at the pregame press conference ahead of the Chiefs’ season opener against the Los Angeles Chargers, according to the Associated Press. “Honestly, life has been even more thrilling since I started dating Taylor.”

When pressed on whether Swift would be cheering from the stands at São Paulo’s Corinthians Arena, Kelce demurred but added, “I love it when the lights are bright.”

During the conference, quarterback Patrick Mahomes politely interrupted a reporter who asked if Kelce found it challenging to stay focused on the field while “dating Taylor Swift,” clarifying, “They’re actually engaged.”

Kelce admitted that the added attention doesn’t bother him. “Ever since I began dating Taylor, everything’s been a thrill. Sure, there are more eyes on me, but I’m embracing it and riding this wave.”

“It’s a dream, man,” Mahomes chimed in.

At 35, Kelce hinted this could be the final year of his current contract. When asked if this season might be his last dance, he smiled and said, “It’s the last year on my deal, but I feel young and ready to rock.”
