Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes Opening a Restaurant Featuring a Taylor Swift–Inspired Cocktail

Taylor Swift will soon clink glasses with her closest friends courtesy of a bespoke cocktail named after one of her songs. Chiefs stars Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes have unveiled “The Alchemy” on the drinks menu for their upcoming steakhouse, 1587 Prime.

In a video shared to the restaurant’s Instagram on Thursday, Aug. 28, Kelce and Mahomes sample the very libation diners will enjoy when 1587 Prime opens on Sept. 17. Seated at a white-clothed table, the two NFL legends watch as a server presents a pale-hued cocktail, topped with delicate flower buds and a curled fruit peel.

“This is The Alchemy,” the server announces, prompting Kelce to grin and reply, “Oh yeah, let’s see it.”

The name hardly comes as a surprise. “The Alchemy” is a track from Swift’s 2024 album The Tortured Poets Department, long believed to chronicle her romance with her now-fiancé. With lyrics like, “Touchdown, call the amateurs and cut ’em from the team … Where’s the trophy? He just comes running over to me,” the reference is unmistakable.

This cocktail is just one of the many teasers Kelce and Mahomes have shared about their new venture, offering glimpses of premium meat cuts and lavish, football-inspired décor at their Kansas City location.

According to the restaurant’s website, 1587 Prime is “a contemporary steakhouse from NFL legends Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce, created in partnership with Noble 33 and infused with the spirit of Kansas City.”

Before opening day, Kelce and Mahomes attended the Cincinnati Bearcats vs. Nebraska Cornhuskers football game alongside Swift, who showcased her new diamond ring in public for the first time since the couple’s engagement announcement on Tuesday, Aug. 26.
