Tori Kelly introduced some gospel taste to The Late Late Show on Monday evening (Sept. 24) with a simmering efficiency of her gospel-pop hit “Never Alone.” Performing the highly effective single from her lately launched gospel-influenced album Hiding Place backed by a full band, 10-person gospel choir and three back-up singers, the Grammy-winner’s voice soared as she locked into the inspiring refrain, “I’ve cried many rivers/ I’ve walked by means of some ache/ I’ve seen my world crumble/ And I’ve carried the disgrace/ But I do know any individual, He calls me His personal/ I can hear heaven singing out/ Oh-oh-oh, you are by no means alone.”
The track — co-written with Kirk Franklin — options an uplifting message about setting apart materials pursuits and specializing in strolling with God. Franklin danced into body mid-way by means of the efficiency, throwing down some phrases of encouragement and lifting the choir to larger heights because the track got here to a thundering conclusion.
“Never Alone” jetted to the No. 2 spot on Billboard‘s Hot Gospel Songs chart dated Sept. 8, main the cost for all eight songs from the album to debut on the chart.
