Tokyo Game Show 2025 Concludes; Figures and Plans for 2026 Announced

The Tokyo Game Show 2025 has concluded. Organizers released official figures: this year the event drew more than 263,000 visitors.

That number is below 2024’s total (274,000) but exceeds attendance in 2023, when 243,000 people attended.

Over 1,130 companies from 47 countries took part in TGS 2025 — a new record for the show’s exhibitor count.

Organizers have already called the event a success and announced next year’s dates: Tokyo Game Show 2026 will take place from September 17 to 21. For the first time in its history the show will span five days.

These figures counter the narrative that gaming expos are dying. Even after E3’s cancellation, large-scale events remain popular — a trend reinforced by gamescom 2025, which also attracted substantial crowds.

Below is a roundup of highlights, booths, and attractions that guests enjoyed at TGS 2025.
