Thom Yorke has shared a new solo song called “5.17.” Apple Music lists a second Yorke single titled “That’s How Horses Are” as coming out on April 2. Both songs were written for the British drama series Peaky Blinders. Check out “5.17” below.

Last month, Peaky Blinders director Anthony Byrne revealed that Yorke and Jonny Greenwood contributed original music for the sixth and final season of the TV show. “I’m over the moon about all of that,” Byrne told NME. “The music has always been really important historically, and I was really keen to bring a dramatic score into it.”

Yorke released his most recent solo album, ANIMA, in 2019 and his debut film score for Luca Guadagnino’s Suspiria remake in 2018. In recent months, he’s stayed busy with his BBC Radio 6 music mix, remixing MF DOOM’s “Gazzillion Ear” and Radiohead’s “Creep,” and breaking down Radiohead album covers with longtime collaborator and artist Stanley Donwood.

In December, Yorke performed a new song by the Smile—the trio of Yorke, Greenwood, and drummer Tom Skinner—solo at London’s Royal Albert Hall. The Smile made their official debut during a Glastonbury livestream last May and recently rehearsed a number of new songs on Instagram Live.
