They Stopped Catching Cheaters and Just Added Cheats to the Game — Players Furious Over New Rifle in Black Ops 7
The Gravemaker is a scorestreak you must earn — but that doesn’t make it any easier for Call of Duty fans.
Streamers and esports competitors invited to Call of Duty Next shared the first multiplayer footage of Black Ops 7, highlighting weapons and features of the upcoming entry. The item that attracted the most attention was the Gravemaker sniper rifle, which reportedly lets players spot opponents through walls and fire across the entire map, killing with a single shot.
Treyarch has explained the Gravemaker functions as a scorestreak that must be earned during a match, and that players receive a warning if they are being targeted by it. Even so, many Call of Duty fans have voiced outrage, calling the weapon unfair and disruptive to game balance.
From what I can tell, the CoD developers stopped trying to catch cheaters and simply added cheats into the game.
This is utter nonsense — it’s not Call of Duty anymore.
