“There Are Better Ways to Spend Money”: Popular Streamer Turns Off Donations and Urges Charity

Charles White Jr., better known as Cr1TiKal on Twitch and penguinz0 on YouTube, who counts millions of followers (about 5.7 million on Twitch and 17.3 million on YouTube), has made a significant announcement to his audience.

In a recent video he revealed that he has disabled all channels for sending him money, including YouTube memberships. While it’s not possible to completely block donations on Twitch, he raised the minimum so high that almost no one will be able to contribute.

White explained that he does not want to accept funds from fans, viewing such payments as wasteful—especially now, when it’s wiser to save or donate to charity. He believes that even people with substantial incomes should prioritize helping others.

For years the streamer asked viewers to enjoy his content without sending money, but many continued to donate. Now Cr1TiKal has taken concrete steps to stem the flow of donations, saying there are far better ways to spend money than by supporting him personally.
