The Wanted singer Nathan Sykes announces he is going to be a father

The Wanted member Nathan Sykes and his wife, Charlotte, are expecting their first baby.

The couple announced the news Wednesday, Sept. 23, via an Instagram post containing photo-booth snapshots. The black-and-white pictures feature the couple holding ultrasound images, while another shows Nathan placing his hand on Charlotte’s bump.

The baby is expected to arrive in April 2027.

The announcement included a message from the couple stating, “We’ve been keeping a little secret…” and revealing that “Baby Sykes is officially on the way.”

Sykes joined the British-Irish boy band The Wanted alongside Max George, Siva Kaneswaran, Jay McGuiness, and the late Tom Parker in 2009.

The Wanted achieved success on US charts with “Glad You Came,” which reached No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2012. The group also charted “Chasing the Sun” at No. 50 on the Hot 100 that same year. Sykes subsequently pursued a solo career, earning a No. 1 hit on the Dance Club Songs chart with “Kiss Me Quick” in 2015. Sykes also dated Ariana Grande briefly in 2013 and released the duet “Never Enough” that year.

He proposed to Charlotte on a beach in Saint Lucia in December 2022. The location mirrors the site where her parents married years earlier. The couple married in October 2025.
