And the winner of The Voice Season 20 is…Cam Anthony!
The 19-year-old was crowned champion of the NBC talent competition Tuesday night (May 25) during the star-studded finale.
The Los Angeles-based, Philadelphia native has seemingly grown in statue with every performance, and he turned it on with his final two efforts Monday night, with a powerful rendition of Cynthia Erivo’s “Stand Up” and a rockin’ surprise with Bon Jovi’s “Wanted Dead Or Alive.”
Anthony secured the nation’s vote, and extends his Coach Blake Shelton’s all-time winning record to eight.
Afterwards, the country veteran praised his protégé. “Cam, your artistry has shown through all season and your impact to this show will live on for a lifetime. Congratulations on the big win! Now time to celebrate,” he tweeted.
Earlier in the evening, Anthony and Shelton entertained viewers with a performance of the Fine Young Cannibals “She Drives Me Crazy.”
With the victory spoils, Anthony collects $100,000 and a record contract.
