The Universim devs are donating their subsequent two months of income to help Australian bushfire aid

Crytivo, the builders behind simulation god game, The Universim, have introduced they’ll be donating their earnings to these affected by the wildfires sweeping throughout Australia.

In a group replace on Steam titled “Mission Koala”, the US-based builders have pledged to present 100% of their earnings from their very own retailer, together with 30% of earnings from all their Steam gross sales throughout January and February to assist the hearth aid effort.

Though they don’t specify a charity, founder and CEO, Alex Koshelkov writes: “Profits from our games will be donated towards rebuilding lost homes, firefighters working overtime and environmental cleanup.”

Crytivo aren’t the one builders to supply up their very own funds to assist Australia. Over the Christmas interval, Convict Games, creators of Stone (the hip-hop noir game a few non-public investigator koala) donated 50% of their profits to WWF Australia.

If you’ve ever considered giving The Universim a go although, now could be pretty much as good a time as any to purchase it, and it’s out there on Steam right here. Here’s just a little excerpt from Fraser Brown’s Premature Evaluation of the game to pique your curiosity:

“The Universim’s attractive galaxy is a backdrop for a single, randomly-generated, Earth-like diorama. Those opening moments hint at its grand ambitions, of space travel and alien planets, before returning somewhere more familiar.”

If you don’t fancy that, Crytivo promote different games on their online store, or there are many different locations you’ll be able to donate to Australian charities online. These bushfires have already devastated thousands of homes, killed billions of animals, and brought more than 20 human lives – fairly frankly the aid efforts want all the assistance they’ll get.

“Our hearts go out to everyone who has suffered from this disaster and to the heroes working tirelessly to help,” Koshelkov continues. “We hope this will inspire others to take action and help in any way they can.”
