Amanita Designs, the maker of Machinarium and the Samorost collection, has launched a brand new journey referred to as Pilgrims.
The final time we heard from Amanita was in 2019, when the studio hinted on the launch of its first horror platformer Creaks. Here we had been minding our personal enterprise, and it seems the indie developer has apparently been quietly toiling away behind the scenes on a complete new game fully.
Pilgrims is a storybook-like journey game with an item-swapping, deck-building gameplay system and a stunning artwork fashion harking back to Machinarium, all 2D and hand-crafted, solely this time with a forged of quaint bears and babushka-wearing grannies. The game’s card-based, deck-building gameplay – which you’ll take a look at within the video under – is just like the cardboard system launched in Samorost 3.
Amanita is pushing Pilgrims as a game to performed greater than as soon as. “Don’t beat it,” reads the game’s Steam web page, “play with it! Solve the various tasks using dozens of items and unique characters without being obliged to follow a single designated path.”
“Roam the land as you please and make new friends, share a laugh with your fellow travelers and help them complete their little stories, your way. How many different solutions can you find?”
Pilgrims is now accessible for PC, Linux, Mac, and Apple Arcade for $5. Creaks is presently slated to launch someday in 2020.
