Folk-rock outfit The Lumineers are headed back Down Under, announcing the Australia & New Zealand leg of their Automatic World Tour for January 2026—their first visit to the region since 2022.
Presented by Frontier Touring, the jaunt launches at Christchurch Town Hall on January 3, then proceeds through Auckland, Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney, Adelaide and Perth.
This segment follows a string of sold-out arenas across North America and Mexico—29 shows in total before they touch down in Australasia. It also commemorates the duo’s 20th anniversary: Wesley Schultz and Jeremiah Fraites formed The Lumineers in New Jersey in 2005.
Their self-titled debut ignited the indie-folk surge of the early 2010s with “Ho Hey,” peaking at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 and earning triple-platinum in Canada, platinum in the UK and Ireland, and gold in Australia.
Across five studio albums, The Lumineers have amassed over 6 billion streams, two Grammy nominations, five Billboard Music Award nods and an American Music Award nomination. Their latest record, Automatic, their first in three years, debuted in the top 10 of multiple Billboard charts—claiming No. 2 on both Top Rock Albums and Americana/Folk Albums.
Lead single “Same Old Song” topped Billboard’s Adult Alternative Airplay chart, reaffirming their knack for crafting enduring hits. Automatic follows Brightside (2022), which debuted at No. 6 on the Billboard 200.
