The Last of Us Part 2 has already gone gold forward of it launch later this June.
Naughty Dog’s Neil Druckmann made the announcement over Instagram right this moment, confirming the game has gone gold and discs at the moment are being pressed.
“We wanted to let you know that we have gone gold,” says Druckmann. “Back in April we advised you that as a result of state of the world, logistics manner past our management, we needed to push the game, which gave us a number of additional weeks to shine and now that we’ve got a launch date we’ve got submitted our gold grasp.
“So which means discs are beginning to get pressed and the executable is being placed on the ps networks. And you’re going to have our game in a number of quick weeks.”
“Normally this would be a moment of celebration, we’d be at the office having a drink, eating cake,” he continues. “But we’re all stuck in our homes.”
“I simply wish to take this second to congratulate the workforce that has pulled off probably the most formidable game we’ve ever made. Despite the recent leak of main plot factors and spoilers, The Last of Us Part 2 is already topping the charts on Amazon.
The Last of Us Part 2 is out June 19 on PS4.
