Serenity Forge and Freebird Games have shown a new trailer for The Last Hour of an Epic To the Moon RPG. The game is planned for Summer 2027 and is presented as the conclusion to the long-running To the Moon series.

A demo is also planned for Steam Next Fest in October 2026. That gives players a first public look at how the final chapter handles the series’ emotional story structure before the full release window arrives.

The final hour of the series

To the Moon has built its identity around story-driven role-playing, memory, loss and character-focused scenes rather than traditional combat. The Last Hour of an Epic To the Moon RPG is being positioned as the endpoint for that journey.

Freebird Games, founded by Kan Gao in 2008, remains attached to the project, while Serenity Forge is handling publishing. The new trailer is meant to set the tone for the final game and reconnect players with the series before the 2027 launch.

Demo before release

The October 2026 demo should be the next important checkpoint. For a narrative game, that preview matters because pacing, music and dialogue usually say more than a feature list. The full game is still more than a year away, but the trailer confirms that the final chapter is now in public view.
