Olivier Assayas’s drama The Wizard of the Kremlin has officially debuted on international streaming platforms.
The film centers on Vadim Baranov (Paul Dano), a fictional political strategist who enters the orbit of Vladimir Putin (Jude Law) during the nascent stages of his political rise.
The ensemble cast also features Alicia Vikander, Tom Sturridge, and Jeffrey Wright, among others. Following its global premiere at the 2025 Venice Film Festival, the movie received a tepid reception from critics, currently holding a 44% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
