The Kid LAROI Issues World Mental Health Day PSA: ‘You Matter and You’re Not Alone’

The Kid LAROI laid bare his emotional journey in the 2024 Prime Video documentary Kids Are Growing Up: A Story About a Kid Named LAROI, where the 22-year-old Australian artist reflected on the trials of emerging adulthood following meteoric fame from his 2021 collaboration with Justin Bieber on “Stay.”

The Grammy-nominated musician has now partnered with Project Healthy Minds—a nonprofit harnessing technology to support Millennial and Gen Z mental well-being—to launch a public service announcement debuting exclusively in AMC Theatres nationwide this September. This effort coincides with National Suicide Prevention Month and leads into World Mental Health Day on October 10, capped by Project Healthy Minds’ annual festival in New York City.

Project Healthy Minds created this PSA to break down barriers, challenge negative perceptions, and promote its free digital platform that connects individuals across the country with essential mental health resources.

The artist, who has continually used his influence to highlight mental health support, adds, “Speaking up transformed my life, and I want others to feel empowered to do the same. Partnering with Project Healthy Minds helps normalize these conversations and link fans to genuine, no-cost assistance.”

Project Healthy Minds strives to close America’s treatment gap through the world’s first digital mental health marketplace, eliminating obstacles like stigma, discoverability, and cost.
