The Creator of The Witcher 3 Blood and Wine Quest Returns to CD Projekt RED

After working at Techland, the writer has decided to return to CDPR.

Gamers recently noticed that an “old-new” writer has joined CD Projekt RED. Karolina Stachyra has officially returned to the studio.

After leaving in 2016, she worked at another well-known Polish studio, Techland, where she held the position of lead narrative designer and later became narrative director, working on an unannounced project within a fantasy franchise.

From February to July of this year, Karolina Stachyra worked at CD Projekt RED as a consultant, and she has now taken on a full-time role as a writing expert.

Karolina Stachyra worked on The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and handled various quests, including the Bloody Baron questline, which many players consider one of the best in the game. Her profile does not specify which project she is currently working on at CD Projekt RED.

Given her experience, players speculate that Karolina may have been brought in to work on the next installment in The Witcher franchise, The Witcher 4, which is expected to be released in 2028, or to help create the story expansion Songs of the Past, which is planned for release in 2027.
