As a result, producers are currently moving toward a comprehensive overhaul of the franchise, featuring an entirely new narrative arc and a fresh face in the starring role.
To date, the Bourne saga encompasses five feature films. While the original trilogy was met with widespread acclaim, the most recent installments struggled to replicate that same level of critical and commercial success.
