Thalia is the latest Latin artist to take the virtual hot seat on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Wednesday night (May 11).
As the special guest, the Mexican singer and actress talked about her upcoming studio album, fame on TikTok, and shared interesting anecdotes from her wedding with Tommy Mottola almost 21 years ago.
They had mariachi and a big band, and at one point, Donna Summer, Gloria Estefan, and Marc Anthony hopped on stage. Danny DeVito was also in the mix, dancing and holding on to Jennifer Lopez’s waist, she recalled. “There was a lot of tequila that night!”
Lime and salt aside, the singer premiered the music video of her new single “Mojito” on Tonight Show. “It’s super sexy. It has real music with guitar and bongos,” she said. “It’s the perfect summer song because it’s refreshing.”
“Mojito” is part of Thalia’s upcoming studio album, desAMORfosis, a play on words for heartbreak, love, and morphosis. “Love is an adventure and this is a very honest album,” she said, expressing that she really opened up on this set for the first time. “It’s like going to therapy and it was amazing.”
