As 2026 approaches, Saturday Night Live has unveiled a fresh wave of talent slated to take over Studio 8H. On Wednesday, January 7, producers confirmed that Cardi B will grace the stage as a musical guest in late January, while the indie rock outfit Geese is set to perform during an episode hosted by multi-hyphenate Teyana Taylor.

The new year’s itinerary kicks off on January 17 with host Finn Wolfhard and musical guest A$AP Rocky. The following week, Taylor—who has recently garnered cinematic acclaim for her role in a Leonardo DiCaprio-led feature—will make her hosting debut. This milestone comes at a high point in her career, as she also celebrates a Best R&B Album nomination for Escape Room ahead of the 2026 Grammys.

Closing out the month on January 31, Alexander Skarsgård will step into the hosting spotlight for the first time. He will be joined by Cardi B, marking her return to the late-night institution. Fans may recall her 2018 appearance alongside the late Chadwick Boseman, where she famously teamed up with Aidy Bryant for the viral “Aidy B & Cardi B” sketch.

Cardi’s upcoming 30 Rock performance serves as a high-profile preview of her “Little Miss Drama Tour,” which launches in February. The tour follows the massive success of her sophomore studio effort, Am I the Drama?, which recently secured the top spot on the Billboard 200.

These latest additions bolster a high-energy 51st season of SNL. So far, the show has featured heavyweights like Bad Bunny and Ariana Grande as hosts, while the musical stages have been occupied by a diverse array of icons and rising stars, including Cher, Doja Cat, Olivia Dean, and Lily Allen.
