Techland: the studio behind Dying Light is working on an ambitious open-world Action-RPG, 1st image

With more than 20 million copies for the first Dying Light and 5 million copies sold for its sequel Dying Light 2 in just 3 weeks of operation, Techland could bet on safety and embark on the production of a third episode. This is not the case since the Polish studio has just declared that it is entering full production of a new title, an ambitious open-world Action-RPG which will be equipped with the best elements of the studio. The team is even expected to grow and hiring is open for those who wish to participate in the adventure. In the meantime, Techland lets us know that the team already has some industry veterans in its ranks, here is the prestigious list:

  • Karolina Stachyra – Narrative Director who previously worked for CD Projekt Red on The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and its DLCs.
Arkadiusz Borowik – Narrative Lead who previously worked for CD Projekt Red on The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and its DLCs.
Bartosz Ochman – Open World Director, who previously worked on Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
Mario Maltezos – Experienced creative director, he has worked with companies like Ubisoft (Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time), Warner Bros (Mad Max) and Microsoft.
David McClure – Lead Game Designer previously associated with Arkane Studios (Deathloop), Deep Silver and Playground Games.
Kevin Quaid – Lead Animator with over 8 years of experience at Guerilla Games who has worked on titles such as Horizon Zero Dawn and its expansion The Frozen Wilds
Marcin Surosz – Lead UI/UX Designer who has a remarkable ability to identify gamer needs, formerly of People Can Fly.

Obviously, for the time being, no detail on this open world Action-RPG has filtered except this artwork which suggests fantastic-sounding natural settings.
