Taylor Swift Unveils ‘Red (Taylor’s Version)’ Tracklist: ‘I Can’t Wait to Dust Off Our Highest Hopes’

After a day of her usual pre-album clue-dropping shenanigans, Taylor Swift has officially confirmed the tracklist — including all of the never-heard-before vault songs and new collaborations — for her album Red (Taylor’s Version), out Nov. 19.

In a Friday (Aug. 6) post to her social media accounts, the pop star shared a photograph of her in her classic red lips and high-waisted shorts from her 2013 tour in support of the original Red album. On top was the full 30-song lineup for the highly-anticipated reissue of the record, which will mark Swift’s second time releasing a re-recorded version of one of her albums following the dispute over the rights to her masters with Scott Borchetta and Scooter Braun in 2019; back in April, she put out Fearless (Taylor’s Version).

“Congrats pals, you guessed the titles and ft. artists on Red (my version),” she wrote in her caption. “I can’t wait to dust off our highest hopes and relive these memories together.”

The official announcement comes after Swift set her fans down a path of serious detective work by releasing a tricky word scramble for them to solve. The lines of jumbled letters turned out to be a word search when stacked on top of one another, and the most studious of the Swifties were able to decode the titles of the unreleased tracks as well as the names of a few huge collaborators: Ed Sheeran, Phoebe Bridgers and Chris Stapleton.

Soon after that, a link began circulating around the Swiftverse that allowed people to guess the song titles of the previously unreleased vault songs in a fill in the blanks worksheet. Once they guessed correctly, users were congratulated for “unlocking the vault.”

Fans did notice, however, that a couple Red era favorites were missing from the tracklist, particularly “Safe & Sound” of the Hunger Games soundtrack, “Sweeter Than Fiction” and a super off-the-record, never released song supposedly called “Battle,” which fans thought for sure would be one of the vault tracks. Swift seemed to address these by tweeting, “We’ll also be making a bunch of new ones too, since Red (Taylor’s Version) includes so many songs you haven’t heard yet. Till then, I’ll be counting down and picturing it all in my head. In burning red.”
