Taylor Swift’s enigmatic countdown concluded at 12:12 a.m. ET on August 12, unveiling her twelfth studio album, The Life of a Showgirl.

Speculation soared on August 11, when a cryptic timer appeared on her official website, hinting at a new era.

Once the clock hit zero, Swift’s online store began accepting pre-orders for vinyl, CD, and cassette editions of The Life of a Showgirl. Although a formal release date remains unannounced, physical items are set to ship ahead of October 13.

The provisional artwork—a mint-green backdrop adorned with a glittering burnt-orange padlock—is described as a “blurred digital rendering for pre-order purposes only.” Complete album art and track listings will be unveiled soon.

On the morning of August 11, the podcast New Heights—hosted by NFL stars Travis and Jason Kelce—hinted at “a VERY special guest” for its Wednesday episode, with social media teasers strongly suggesting Swift’s participation.

Swift’s cameo on New Heights is confirmed for 7 p.m. ET on Wednesday, August 13, where she will divulge further details about The Life of a Showgirl.

In a clip shared on Instagram by both Swift and New Heights, the pop icon declares, “This is my brand-new album, The Life of a Showgirl,” solidifying fans’ excitement for her #TS12 era.

Swift’s eleventh studio album, The Tortured Poets Department, debuted last year with record-breaking Billboard 200 numbers and earned a Grammy nomination for Album of the Year.

Since wrapping her Eras Tour in December, Swift has kept a relatively low profile, though news in May of her reclaiming the master recordings for her first six albums sparked a streaming resurgence across her entire catalog.
