Taylor Swift Unveils ‘Life of a Showgirl: Shiny Bug Edition’ Vinyl

Taylor Swift continues to delight fans ahead of her twelfth studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, by unveiling two new, limited-edition vinyl colorways on August 18. These exclusive “Shiny Bug” variants can be pre-ordered beginning at 2 p.m. ET and remain available until 1:59 p.m. ET on August 20, while supplies last.

The records come in two striking marbled finishes—wintergreen onyx and violet shimmer—and feature bespoke cover art of Swift wearing a dark, spiked leotard with coordinating gloves. Each edition is packaged with a full-size gatefold photo, a double-sided foldout panel containing a poem Swift wrote for the set, plus a curated selection of exclusive photographs.

Earlier this month, Swift teased The Life of a Showgirl on the New Heights podcast with Jason and Travis Kelce, where she shared the album’s cover image, production credits and track list. Produced solely by Max Martin and Shellback, the 12-song collection includes a duet with Sabrina Carpenter on the title track.

In contrast to her previous album, the 35-track Tortured Poets Department, which dominated the Billboard 200 for 17 weeks, Swift assures listeners that “Showgirl” contains no bonus material—just the core dozen songs she set out to record. “This is the record I’ve been wanting to make for a very long time,” she emphasized during her podcast appearance.
