Taylor Swift is set to make her first appearance on the New Heights podcast, hosted by brothers Travis and Jason Kelce, even if some of the show’s sports-focused fans aren’t exactly thrilled.
In a teaser clip shared on New Heights’ social channels, Swift playfully acknowledged that a segment of the audience might bristle at her guest spot. “I know you’ve got a lot of male sports fans tuning in,” she jokes, “and we all know what they really crave is more of me.” Her sarcasm drew a hearty laugh from the Kansas City Chiefs’ tight end sitting beside her.
This sneak peek leads into Swift’s full interview, which drops at 7 p.m. ET on Wednesday, August 13, across all New Heights platforms. The Kelce brothers first stoked anticipation on August 11 by hinting at “a VERY special guest.”
Fans are especially eager for any news about Swift’s upcoming twelfth studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, officially announced on August 12. Yet Swift may also brace for criticism from some NFL viewers who have voiced discontent about her presence at Chiefs games since 2023—so much so that the league issued a statement defending its broadcast choices.
“The Taylor Swift–Travis Kelce phenomenon has been a pop-cultural moment we’ve leaned into in real time,” the NFL said. “The vast majority of our coverage remains focused on the game, our players and a variety of other initiatives.”
Despite any naysayers, Swift clearly has two devoted football fans excited to host her: Travis and Jason. In another clip, Jason nearly runs out of breath while enthusiastically listing Swift’s accolades, prompting her to quip, “Thank you for that 47-second applause—and for inviting me to my favorite podcast!”
