While SEGA continues to ignore the return (or a remake) of Crazy Taxi, two young independent studios have decided to offer their version of the arcade racing game that rocked gamers so much in the 90s. is from this postulate that Taxi Chaos was born, a title freshly announced and jointly developed between Lion Castle and Team6 Game Studios. Together, the two studios hope to revive the license by offering a “fresh and modern reinterpretation of taxi racing games”. By taking a look at the first screenshots and the trailer, we are obviously closer to plagiarism than simple homage, except that unlike other games, Taxi Chaos has received the blessing of SEGA which is also placed as as distributor of the game in Japan and other countries in Asia. In Europe, especially in Spain, Mindscape will take care of the distribution. Still, the announcement of this Taxi Chaos is a great godsend, especially since the release is not very far away, the game arriving on February 23, 2021 on PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
