Tame Impala Sink Their Teeth Into “Dracula” and Announce U.K. and European Tour

Tame Impala has released “Dracula,” a new single lifted from the forthcoming album Deadbeat.
Under Kevin Parker’s direction, the psychedelic project leans into darker, dance-forward territory on this sleek, electro-pop cut. “Dracula” is the third widely distributed single from the band’s fifth studio album, following the expansive “End of Summer” and the brisk “Loser.”
Another piece believed to be titled “Ethereal Connection” surfaced as an untitled B‑side on the 12‑inch pressing of “End of Summer,” available in a limited run via Parker’s online store.
Parker previewed “Dracula” earlier in the month by using a short clip beneath a social post that also revealed the Deadbeat tracklist, giving fans an early taste of the record’s sonic direction.

Deadbeat is scheduled for worldwide release on October 17, 2025. It will mark Tame Impala’s first album issued through Columbia Records following a new agreement with Sony, and the move closes Parker’s long-running association with Modular Recordings and Universal Music.
Parker will reconvene his touring outfit for a string of newly announced European and U.K. dates next year, beginning April 4 at Super Bock Arena in Porto and concluding May 13 at 3Arena in Dublin. The Deadbeat Tour will kick off in North America with a headline performance on October 27, 2025, at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center.
Parker has said the album draws inspiration from the “bush doof” rave culture native to Western Australia, channeling that celebratory, communal energy into a contemporary club-psych framework.
The album’s pre-order page characterizes Deadbeat as a collection of propulsive, club-minded tracks that spotlight some of Parker’s most immediate, hook-driven songwriting to date—an intentional reimagining of Tame Impala as a forward-looking rave act.
Deadbeat arrives more than five years after 2020’s The Slow Rush, which topped the ARIA Albums Chart and reached No. 3 on both the Billboard 200 and the U.K. Albums Chart. Its predecessor, 2015’s Currents, also reached No. 1 in Australia and secured top-five placements in the U.S. and U.K., helping earn the group a Brit Award for Best International Group.
