Sugababes make a return of sorts, with a new remix of their debut single “Overload”.
The fresh cut, courtesy of English group Metronomy and pop artist Tatyana, will appear on the 20th anniversary reissue of their first album One Touch, due out Oct. 1.
The Metronomy vs Tatyana Remix is dripping in U.K. garage, a sound that was pumping in the clubs when “Overload” first appeared over the airwaves.
One Touch will also contain the previously-released MNEK remix of “Run For Cover.”
Comprised of founding members Keisha Buchanan, Mutya Buena and Siobhán Donaghy, Sugababes would emerge as one of the U.K.’s most popular indie-pop outfits in the early-to-mid-noughts.
“Overload” dropped in 2000 and peaked at No. 6, the first of what would become 18 Top 10s. The trio also snagged six U.K. No. 1s singles, including the hits “Freak Like Me,” “Round Round” and “Push The Button.”
The group went through several lineup changes and went quiet after the release of their seventh album, 2010’s Sweet 7.
