Three tunes take over atop Billboard‘s rock genre-based digital song sales charts dated Aug. 28, one of which is a cover of a classic Metallica anthem.

Sueco‘s “Paralyzed” opens at No. 1 on Rock Digital Song Sales with 8,000 sold in its first week, ending Aug. 19, according to MRC Data. It’s the first the rapper/singer’s first appearance on the chart, the latest step in his move toward a pop-punk sound.

Additionally, “Paralyzed” starts at No. 2 on Alternative Digital Song Sales, where it’s his second entry, after “SOS,” featuring Travis Barker, debuted at No. 21 a week earlier. “Paralyzed” also becomes Sueco’s first Billboard Hot 100-charting title, bowing at No. 65 on the all-genre, multi-metric chart. In addition to its sales, it earned 6.5 million U.S. streams in its first frame.

The track concurrently enters Rock Streaming Songs at No. 2 and the multi-metric Hot Rock & Alternative Songs chart at No. 8.

Meanwhile, Tom MacDonald‘s “Brainwashed” begins atop Alternative Digital Song Sales with 14,000 sold in its first week. It’s his second No. 1 on the chart, following “No Good Bastards,” with Nova Rockafeller and Brandon Hart, in April.

“Brainwashed” joins “Paralyzed” on the Hot 100, starting at No. 89 and marking MacDonald’s third appearance; “Snowflakes” spent a week at No. 71 in June after “Fake Woke” reached No. 96 in February.

“Brainwashed” concurrently debuts at No. 11 on Hot Rock & Alternative Songs, additionally sparked by 2.8 million streams.

Meanwhile, Chris Stapleton‘s cover of Metallica’s “Nothing Else Matters” lifts 4-1 on Hard Rock Digital Song Sales with 3,000 sold in its first full tracking week (Aug. 13-19, after it was released Aug. 12). It’s his first title on the tally, as his material is generally within the country genre.

The song also blasts in at No. 2 on the multi-metric Hot Hard Rock Songs chart, having logged 995,000 streams in the tracking week.

Stapleton’s version of the song is part of the massive The Metallica Blacklist box set, due Sept. 10. Over 50 artists contributed to the project, which features covers of songs from Metallica’s self-titled studio album, known as The Black Album, for its 30th anniversary. The 1991 original has sold 17.2 million to date, making it the top-selling album overall since MRC Data began tracking sales that year.
