Starting today, Xbox Game Pass subscribers can try a new title on the service — an adventure featuring Lara Croft.
Lara has long been one of the most recognizable figures in gaming. Crystal Dynamics has been developing a new, enigmatic entry in the franchise for several years, though no official announcement has been made yet. In the meantime, fans of the intrepid archaeologist can revisit her earlier adventures through Microsoft’s service.
Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light is available across all three subscription tiers (Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard) and runs on consoles from two generations as well as on PC.
Players can control Lara and her ally Totec, a Maya warrior, as they team up to seek the ancient artifact known as the Mirror of Smoke. The gameplay blends classic series elements — exploration, puzzle-solving, and platforming challenges — with fast-paced combat, character progression, cooperative play, and competitive modes.
On Steam, 92% of user reviews are positive.
