Japanese composer Joe Hisaishi’s movie scores for a number of of Studio Ghibli’s beloved animated movies are being reissued on vinyl for the primary time. As an inventory on Bleep confirms, Tokuma will launch vinyl editions of the scores to Nausicaä of the Valley of Wind (1984), My Neighbor Totoro (1988), and Castle within the Sky (2003).
In addition to the unique soundtracks, Tokuma is releasing a “sound book” model of the Totoro rating (that includes “songs from the score re-recorded on violin, guitar and flute”) in addition to symphonic variations of the scores for Nausicaä and Castle within the Sky. The reissues arrive in November.
