Scranton, Penn., is getting one of the first four-day camping festivals to return since the pandemic began. From July 1 to 4, the Peach Music Festival will return to Montage Mountain with multiple sets from The String Cheese Incident, Joe Russo’s Almost Dead, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong and Dark Star Orchestra.
The festival produced by Live Nation along with the Allman Brothers Band, will also see performances from Oysterhead, Umphrey’s McGee, moe., Twiddle, Blackberry Smoke, Doom Flamingo, The Wild Feathers, Corrovas, Spafford, Dopapod, Keller Williams, Neal Francis and more. In addition, Turkuaz will pay tribute to the Talking Heads’ masterpiece Remain In Light by performing the album in its entirety with special guests Jerry Harrison of the Talking Heads and Adrian Belew.
The Festival’s founders, the Allman Brothers Band, are well represented in this year’s lineup. Founding member Jaimoe, longtime guitarist Warren Haynes, and bassist Oteil Burbridge will all perform sets. In addition, both Devon Allman and Duane Betts will perform with their group, the Allman Betts Band. There will also be a special performance of the Allman Brothers’ legendary Live at Fillmore East which is celebrating its 50th anniversary on July 1, 2021.
The 2021 event will mark the festival’s 10th installment and will feature additional performances from Andy Frasco & The U.N., Tauk, Aqueous, Ghost Light, Ballyhoo, Nicole Atkins, Brandon “Taz” Niederauer, The Nth Power featuring Jennifer Hartswick, Celisse, Magnolia Boulevard, Neighbor, Mikaela Davis, Thumpasaurus and Magic. The four-day event will include more than 50 artists with additions to the lineup coming soon.
