Stray Kids’ “KARMA” Named Fans’ Favorite New Release of the Week

With over half of the ballots cast, KARMA — Stray Kids’ newest studio album — secured the No. 1 position in this week’s fan-driven music poll.

Concluded on Friday, August 22 via Billboard, the survey invited music enthusiasts to crown their favorite release of the past week, ultimately elevating the K-pop collective’s latest project above all others.

In a tight race that featured fresh tracks from Doja Cat, Laufey and more, KARMA narrowly outpaced Doja Cat’s latest single, amassing just over 50 percent of the total votes.

The album comprises 11 meticulously crafted songs — including the lead single “Ceremony” featuring STAY — all helmed by the group’s in-house production unit, 3RACHA.

According to the official announcement, KARMA delves into the interplay of choices and consequences: “Destiny is shaped by a tangled web of decisions and outcomes,” the statement reads. “KARMA reflects Stray Kids’ journey of forging their own path amid external pressures and internal doubts, embodying a narrative of growth and determination.”

In late July, the group concluded their largest world tour to date — the Stray Kids World Tour <dominATE> — after delivering 54 electrifying performances across five continents.

Following KARMA in this week’s fan poll were Doja Cat’s “Jealous Type” with 47 percent support, Laufey’s A Matter of Time, Sombr’s I Barely Know Her, Deftones’ Private Music, Offset’s KIARI, Kid Cudi’s Free and BigXThaPlug’s I Hope You’re Happy.
