Recently, the modding collective Team Future celebrated the Steam debut of DOOM 3 Phobos. The project is a narrative-driven mod for the shooter, presented as several connected episodes.
The story follows a character who wakes up on Mars—wounded and suffering from amnesia. The protagonist encounters Samantha Miles, who insists she knows him:
“While she helps you reconstruct your identity, you assist her in searching for a long-lost friend and a missing agent. Set against the events of the original DOOM 3, both of you must fight to survive while continuing the search for the missing agent and the truth about your identity.”
