First announced at E3 2018, Starfield will have waited until this year’s E3 to reveal its first CGI images. While the game is slated for release on November 11, 2022, which is a year from now, Bethesda Softworks remains a mystery as to the type of game and gameplay expected to take us among the stars. That was without counting on the release of this unexpected video lasting over 7 minutes where the creators of Starfield came together to give a little more cookie. A sort of developer diary with guest Todd Howard (who is therefore the Game Director), Angela Browder (Studio Director) and Matt Carofano (Art Director) who discuss how the ambitions, passions and history of the company ‘team have shaped the studio, but also their perspectives on the future of Starfield. Don’t expect to see any gameplay footage in this video, just do we have some concept art here to keep us patient.
Among the few snippets of information that can be drawn from this video, we learn that the game will be in first-person view for more immersion, that the game will promote exploration, that the environments should be interactive and that the open world promises to be gigantic. Obviously, at this stage, we can only take the developers’ word for it, but we will obviously wait until the game is released to get a final opinion. In the meantime, Todd Howard continues to play with our impatience and we remember that Starfield will arrive on PC and Xbox Series X | S for November 2022.
