You can obtain Baby Yoda as a playable character from the Nexus Mods web page linked above. The mod works by manipulating the code so Baby Yoda replaces BB8 in-game.
“I started this as a joke mod but it ended up being pretty cool,” Nanobuds writes within the Baby Yoda mod description. “He looks wacky on the front end – there is nothing I can do about this. I can’t change the animations to make BB8’s arm or wire go away. Everything is fine in-game though.”
