Spotify has introduced it has begun beta-testing a brand new performance that will enable artists to add their music on to the streaming service. To date, artists have had to make use of conventional distributors or third-party firms (Tunecore, Distrokid, Stem) to get their music on the platform. With the brand new direct add characteristic—at present in beta—artists will have the ability to add their music, choose launch dates, and edit metadata the identical approach they’re capable of with any distributor. (One artist to already use the service is Noname, who used it to add her newest album Room 25, in line with Spotify.)

More impartial artists might be invited to strive the characteristic earlier than it’s made obtainable to most people. Find extra info on the direct add characteristic here.
