Sponge Cola’s May 14 live performance reigns over the rest of the competition on Billboard’s Top Facebook Live Videos chart, crowning the May 2021-dated survey.
The chart, the latest of which recaps May 2021 activity, is a monthly look at the widest-reaching and most-reacted-to videos posted by musicians on Facebook Live, as tracked by media analytics company Shareablee. Rankings are determined by a formula that blends reactions, comments, shares and first-seven-days views.
Sponge Cola, which last ruled Top Facebook Live Videos in January, paces May’s tally with May 14’s 61-minute performance; the Filipino rockers have taken to performing sets often on their Facebook, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The video led Facebook Live streams by musicians in all four chart metrics in May, garnering 1.2 million views in its first seven days, plus 142,000 reactions, 45,000 comments and 16,000 shares, according to Shareablee.
