Spike Lee Directs New Prince Music Video: Watch

Spike Lee has directed a brand new music video for “Mary Don’t You Weep,” an archival Prince tune that’s included in his new movie BlacKkKlansman. The visible options clips from the film. Watch beneath. In a recent interview about BlacKkKlansman, Spike Lee stated, “Prince wanted me to have that song, I don’t care what nobody says. My brother Prince wanted me to have that song. For this film. There’s no other explanation to me.”

Along with its inclusion in BlacKkKlansman, “Mary Don’t You Weep” is ready to look on Piano & A Microphone: 1983, a forthcoming dwell album that Prince recorded throughout a rehearsal at his dwelling studio in Chanhassen, Minnesota in 1983. Piano & A Microphone: 1983 arrives September 21.
