Lately, Insomniac Games let us know that it is finally possible to move their save from Marvel’s Spider-Man to Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered: real good news for those who don’t want to start from scratch. And after having done the simple manipulation, the players realized an unprecedented fact in the small PlayStation world: the Trophies unlocked in the PS4 version will be automatically unlocked in this PS5 version. Concretely, this means that your virtual rewards will be doubled and that if you had, for example, the Platinum on the old Sony machine, you will immediately have it a second time on the next-gen console.
So of course, this will not change the face of the universe but it is, a priori, a first in the video game industry: for comparison, other cross-gen PS4 / PS5 games – like Sackboy A Big Adventure or Borderlands 3 – do not allow you to recover previously acquired Trophies. A brake for the many hunters present at PlayStation: let’s hope that changes.
