Space Jam 2 or rather Space Jam: A New Legacy is the sequel to the first film released in 1997, which brought together Michael Jordan and the Looney Tunes on the screen. Mixing real takes and animations, the feature film has had a certain success which earned it to be considered a cult film, to the point that a sequel arrives more than 20 years later. Lebron James will succeed Jordan and he will be surrounded by actors like Don Cheadle, Sonequa Martin-Green, while Malcolm D. Lee (Scary Movie 5) is directing. Expected for the month of July 2021, the film will be accompanied by a video game, as Microsoft informs us through a press release in which it is specified that it will be a game dedicated to the Xbox Game Pass, and therefore accessible for the entire Xbox family.
But this game is unique in that it will be created with the players since they are asked to participate by listing the best ideas to make a video game. If you ever have a creative mind and are ready to share your delirium, know that you have until December 30 to summarize its concept in less than 500 words. However, you have to be over 14 for this to be taken into account. Two lucky winners will have the chance to see their ideas come to life in the game, with their name appearing in the game credits. Better still, they will also win items signed by LeBron James, Space Jam: A New Legacy goodies, packs VIP Nike, a personalized Xbox Series S, a private screening of the film for their friends and families, and a virtual code learning workshop, from Microsoft.
But that’s not all, Microsoft has also set up virtual workshops on the theme of Space Jam: A New Legacy to learn how to create a video game. Students will be able to code a prototype game using the MakeCode Arcade platform, while learning more about professional techniques and possible careers in video game creation. Be careful though, these workshops are done entirely in English. If you ever master the language of Donald Trump, just go to aka.ms/SJANLcoding. You know everything.
