Source code for Nival’s “Blitzkrieg 2” published online after 20 years
The RTS franchise still enjoys a dedicated following.
In September, fans observed another anniversary of the strategy title “Blitzkrieg 2” (Blitzkrieg 2). Nival’s founder joined in the commemoration.
Sergey Orlovsky made the game’s source code publicly available on GitHub. The released archive contains:
- Game data and assets
- Design documentation and art resources
- Source code and development utilities
- Game audio assets
- Development and build tools
- Localization files
- Various build configurations and testing environment setups
- The full source code for the game engine
A special license forbids commercial use of the source code; however, the materials are available for educational and research purposes.
