Sony to Begin Phasing Out PlayStation 4 Support in Spring 2026, Disabling Some Console Services — Media

Sony describes this as a move toward “a more unified and scalable foundation for multiple console generations.”

Sony intends to begin phasing out support for certain legacy PlayStation 4 services in spring 2026.

Documentation provided to Insider Gaming indicates that, starting in spring 2026, newly submitted PlayStation 4 titles will not be able to integrate with several outdated PSN features. Specifically, the following services will be disabled:

• Activity Feed Web API
• Title Small Storage (TSS)
• Title User Storage (TUS)
• Users and Profiles
• Word Filters
• Shared Media Web API
