Secretly Canadian will reissue Songs: Ohia’s basic 2000 album The Lioness on November 23. The double LP Love & Work: The Lioness Sessions will function a whole album of beforehand unheard recordings, in addition to images, and unique essays by Songs: Ohia frontman Jason Molina, his household, and collaborators. The set will even embrace replications of unique artifacts from Molina’s life. The assortment is out there for pre-order here.
Jason Molina died in 2013 from organ failure on account of alcohol consumption. His last album as Songs: Ohia was 2003’s Magnolia Electric Co. Read Pitchfork’s Afterword feature on Jason Molina.
