Olé! The most recent quarterfinals of America’s Got Talent 2025 wrapped up in spectacular fashion, and one performer rose above the rest—earning the rarest accolade from the notoriously exacting Simon Cowell with an exhilarating original tribute to soccer.

Nationwide viewers were equally swept up in the excitement when singer Micah Palace clinched his spot in the finals during the live results show on Wednesday, September 4.

On Tuesday night’s broadcast, Palace invited the entire audience to chant “Olé” as he delivered “Rodeo,” a FIFA-inspired rap celebrating global unity. Howie Mandel leapt to his feet in applause, while Sofia Vergara offered an enthusiastic thumbs-up. Mel B admitted she wasn’t completely on board, but Cowell couldn’t have disagreed more.

“That was brilliantly conceived,” Cowell told Palace. “With the World Cup on the horizon, this could easily become its anthem.” Then, with a mischievous grin, he quizzed, “What color is the World Cup?”

When Palace responded, “Gold,” Cowell sprang from his seat and slammed the Golden Buzzer—catapulting the emotional musician directly into the final round as a shower of gold confetti rained down.

Wednesday’s results also saw improv sensation Chris Turner, eight-months-pregnant songstress Jessica Sanchez and masked mentalist Mastermind advance to the semifinals. Unfortunately, Anna Saranina, Austin Brown, Benn Family Band, Girish and The Chronicles, Jacqueline & Wagner, Maceo Harrison and the Messoudi Brothers were sent home.

The last quarterfinal airs on September 9, featuring the Birmingham Youth Fellowship Choir, country trio The BoykinZ, vocalist Chuck Adams, duos Cole Swensen & Judy and Crash Adams, magician Zak Mirz, dance troupe Team Recycled and four additional acts. The live semifinals begin September 16.
