Sifu: a new trailer with new gameplay, we are always hyped

Announced last month During Sony Interactive Entertainment’s State of Play, Sifu was once again in the spotlight, but as part of the Future Games Show this time around. Indeed, the French studio SlowCap has drawn a new trailer in which Peirre Tarno (co-founder) recalls that we will have to embody a kung fu disciple kung fu disciple in search of revenge. Five mysterious assassins are indeed behind the murder of his family, and so he has spent the last eight years hatching a plan down to the smallest detail.

Five is also the number of levels that we will have to explore in Sifu, each stage concluding with a merciless duel. As the game is dedicated to Chinese folklore, each boss will represent one of the five Wuxing elements, namely fire, wood, water, metal, and earth. Peirre Tarno reminds that each time our character dies, he can resume the game immediately, but with a few more years. Clearly, he will age with each death, which will force the player to rigorously study the opposing techniques.

Of course, there will be a limit to the system, and this is a subject that Peirre Tarno promises to raise in a future video. In the meantime, we remind you that Sifu will be released this year on PS4, PS5 and PC.
