Shinobi: Art of Vengeance Gets DLC Featuring Golden Axe Boss Death Adder
Lizardcube and Sega have brought Joe Musashi back in Shinobi: Art of Vengeance — a Metroidvania-style action game that received strong praise from critics. Even though many players have already reached the ending, a new chapter is on the horizon.
A DLC called Sega Villains Stage (included with the Deluxe Edition) is slated for early 2026. It was previously confirmed that Sonic’s nemesis, Dr. Eggman, would appear. Now another memorable antagonist has joined the roster — Death Adder from Golden Axe. It seems players will face a kind of “greatest hits” lineup of Sega villains brought to bear against the furious ninja.
The expansion is scheduled for release in early 2026. So far, the developers have only shared a short teaser featuring the design of one of the forthcoming bosses.
