If the State of Play of June 3, 2022 allowed big blockbusters to reveal themselves for some and to shine even more beautifully for others, we were also treated to a few indie games that were not lacking in interest. Among these, one can obviously mention Season: A Letter to the Future which we could see for the first time during the Game Awards 2020. This time, the developers of Scavengers Studio mainly reveals its release date to us, set for fall 2022 on PS5, PS4 and probably PC. Poetic and idyllic in its visual rendering, Season: A Letter to the Future will offer gameplay in line with this atmosphere, since everything will revolve around exploration, collecting objects, encounters and understanding this strange world around us. Estellen, who is the main character, will often travel by bicycle, can get off at any time to take a tool from her bag or immortalize a moment with her camera.
Beyond snapshots to memorize specific moments, our young woman can also record sounds with her tape recorder and listen to the slightest sound captured whenever she wishes. Sounds, music, words of elders, religious practices, anything that can make us want to stroll through the seasons will advance this mysterious story against a backdrop of humanity, culture and nature.
