The video is comprised of efficiency footage from the one Mastersystem tour that occurred within the UK a number of weeks previous to Scott’s demise. The monitor initially appeared on the band’s album Dance Music, which was launched earlier this yr. All proceeds are being donated to the Scott Hutchison Foundation. Check it out beneath.
In a press release, the band mentioned concerning the video:
This footage was shot throughout the first and final Mastersystem tour. The wonderful thing about it’s it simply exhibits a bunch of fellas, having the very best time, ripping the piss out of one another, laughing and performing some exhibits. There’s one thing fucking sensible about this…one thing freed from the strain that bands can flip into…That’s what Mastersystem was about, only a document, a band constructed from going again to how all of us began, throwing riffs and cords round till it sounds one thing like a tune. No fuss.
This was Scott’s favorite tune on the document, and the spark that lit the paper that led to the entire Mastersystem album. It was at all times in our plans to be THE single off the document.
We’re very fucking pleased with it, which is why we’re honouring our authentic plans to place it out. It won’t be a factor to propel Mastersystem ahead into new locations, however function a monument to all concerned and to all that listened….That we made a category document all of us consider in.
Cheers for listening. Justin, Grant, James and Nick.
